The Taylor Swift of Poetry
So, we’re launching a poetry journal. You might have heard. It’s called POETRY CRUSHES! We had plans to solicit you and the rest of our fave poets, but then we started realizing that all those Michael Robbins we keep ROTFL at and LOLing at in the Poetry Foundation comment streams are all the same Michael Robbins. And that that Michael Robbins wrote the Alien vs. Predator poem in this month’s New Yorker. Sigh. Crush. Swoon. The Swoon. Just when we thought our love runneth over, and there couldn’t possibly be enough pages in any issue of POETRY CRUSHES to properly illustrate his genius, there was more Michael Robbins:
- the Village Voice calls him “The Taylor Swift of Poetry”
- Possum Ego says that Robbins is able to “out-Dada your flarf with one hand tied behind his back”
Vowel Movers says: MICHAEL ROBBINS IS OUR POETRY CRUSH!
