Halloween For Poets

October 26, 2008

Whoa, remember that Halloween when I got all decked out in my Complacencies of the Peignoir costume and no one understood?

MAD embarrassing.

It really does put into perspective the shame that was the year I dressed up as The Emperor of Ice Cream

After the deeply mortifying literary strike-outs of my past, I’m determined to show that this Halloween I can do better than

the classic “Jorie Graham Wig and black couture pantsuit  with ankle boots or the Jonathan Ames corduroy suit and suitcase combo…

Thanks to October’s NYLON magazine– and their fashion spread, LIT GIRLS, me and the VM crew will be dressing as choice lit style icon.  Will it be Eloise from Eloise At The Plaza by Kay Thompson, The Great Gatsby’s Daisy Buchanan, or Holly Golightly from Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s?

Dudes, get ready for a MAJOR plot twist…
